Every two years, the Midwest Writing Center Association (MWCA) hosts a conference with the aim of encouraging communication and collaboration among writing centers in the Midwestern region. The conference provides an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences, learn from others involved in writing center work, and build community with fellow attendees.
The conference brings together administrators, faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students involved in writing centers, writing programs, and related student support services. Individuals dedicated to supporting student writing at middle schools, high schools, community colleges, and universities are welcome to attend.

Registration includes Friday morning breakfast, Friday lunch, Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, Saturday lunch, and an informal reception on Thursday evening.
Conference registrants are encouraged to apply for MWCA scholarships and travel grants, which support conference participation of both student and professional MWCA members.
